🧭 Verse 4: "They wandered in the wilderness in a desolate way; they found no city to dwell in."
The people were directionless, disconnected, and without rest.
Hebrew insight: "Wilderness" (מִדְבָּר – midbar) refers not only to a physical desert but also a place of silence and isolation—a perfect metaphor for spiritual lostness.
❤️ God sees the lost.
Even when people are far off, aimless, and spiritually homeless, He doesn’t forget them. The heart of God notices the wanderer and waits with compassion.

The soul (נֶפֶשׁ – nephesh) is weary, showing us our deep inner self is starving for divine connection.
❤️ God is moved by our emptiness.
He knows when our strength is gone and our soul is dry. Our human needs do not annoy Him—they attract His care.
